Feature Request: Power Usage via SNMP

Sat Oct 03, 2015 10:52 pm

Would it be possible to add power usage to the MIB in a future release? I'm trying to calculate runtime remaining for our DC sites using PRTG, and this would be extremely helpful.

Thanks!

Its already there. This is a partial dump from SnmpB:

Code: Select all
358: pethMainPseConsumptionPower.1 0
359: pethMainPseConsumptionPower.2 0
360: pethMainPseConsumptionPower.3 3
361: pethMainPseConsumptionPower.4 0
362: pethMainPseConsumptionPower.5 0
363: pethMainPseConsumptionPower.6 0
364: pethMainPseConsumptionPower.7 0
365: pethMainPseConsumptionPower.8 0
366: pethMainPseConsumptionPower.9 0
367: pethMainPseConsumptionPower.10 0
368: pethMainPseConsumptionPower.11 0
369: pethMainPseConsumptionPower.12 0
370: pethMainPseConsumptionPower.13 0
371: pethMainPseConsumptionPower.14 0

You can see port 3 is using 3 watts. Its part of POWER-ETHERNET-MIB.http://tools.cisco.com/Support/SNMP/do/BrowseMIB.do?local=en&step=2&mibName=POWER-ETHERNET-MIB

Thanks Eric. I didn't realize that was there already. I'm still wondering if it would be possible to get the whole system power usage as shown on the web interface?
