We're working on a unique installation in which we need to power the following:
Primary Box (WS-6-MINI) -> 300ft Cat6 -> WS-6-MINI -> 300ft Cat 6 -> WS-6-MINI -> 300ft Cat6 -> WS-6-MINI
We're trying to get the system voltage as high as possible to account for line loss and that part seems fine. Starting Voltage @ Primary Box is a peak of 59V and will discharge over time to a low of 46V. At the remote end, we're seeing roughly 4V voltage drop which is within the range of all equipment we're running.
My question is the peak voltage at the time batteries are fully charged (59V). The spec sheet for the WS-6-MINI states a max voltage of 54V (which isn't high enough for a standard 48VDC system float voltage). How much can we push this? We have the exact same configuration currently running with Mikrotik PowerBox's with zero issues, aside from the fact that we're a bit short on power allocation (.2A) and need a solution that will utilize all 4 pairs for power.
Thank you!

Re: WS-6-MINI - Max Voltage
Basically, the power supply internal circuit can handle a max input of 60 volts, and our mosfets are also rated for a max of 60 volts. So, in theory, you should be okay to run under 60 volts, but I can't give an outright Netonix blessing on this, because you can easily go above that during battery charging, etc.
You will be running outside of our advertised range, up to you....
As a note, the POE output 48 volts will actually be the input POE voltage, minus a diode voltage drop, so beware what ya use for POE devices.

Re: WS-6-MINI - Max Voltage
Thank you Dave, very much appreciated. 59V is the absolute highest we'll see with the batteries fully charged and a charger online. Our intention along these hops is to use Port 1 In, Port 2 out and we expect some voltage drop with each segment along the way.
