Loop maybe?

Sun Sep 09, 2018 9:40 pm

Loop question,
I have a ws-24-400b and I have 2 vlans basically 2 virtual switches with exclude checked on half the ports etc.. Its running 1.4.9 I do use the SFP incoming fiber from router. I had some equipment reboot for 3 minutes from this switch but nothing detected in the logs. Everything on Vlan 2 rebooted but nothing on vlan1 management side. My question is could it have been a loop detection type situation only rebooting certain ports without any logs? Loop protection is on. I realize 1.5 latest has better loop protection which I will update soon but trying to figure this latest 3 minute reboot?

edit: just checked uptimes on radios and they did not power off so it was just a 3 minute delay with no pings to devices same as if there was a loop but no power reboot.
