Under the tab DEVICE-> STATUS->BOARD 48v is the current power input from the source? or how do I know whats the current voltage at the moment from the battery bank?

You failed to mention what model this is, I assume it is a WS-26-DC?
This means that whatever voltage you feed the WS-26-DC with that is the board 48V as it simply pushes whatever voltage you feed it out as the 48V POE options.
The WS-26-DC and WS-12-DC are designed to be fed by a power supply with conditioned 48V-54V.
If you want to hook to batteries you want the WS-12-250-DC or the WS-26-500-DC which conditions the input voltage (9V to 72V) to produce the then conditioned 48V board voltage.
If you read the descriptions of the switches on the web site it tells you this.
WS-26-DC / WS-12-DC
- Designed to receive positive 48V-54V conditioned power.
WS-12-250-DC
- Designed to hook directly to battery bank not a power supply.
- NOTE: Always use an inline fuse or breaker.
- If you have a 48V-54V power supply you should use the WS-12-DC unit.
- 250 Watt SMART DC power supply accepts 9V to 72V DC variable input while providing uninterrupted 24V and 48V POE
- 250 Watt POE budget when input voltage above 12V
- 200 Watt POE budget when input voltage above 11V
- 150 Watt POE budget when input voltage below 11V
WS-26-500-DC
- Designed to hook directly to battery bank not a power supply.
- NOTE: Always use an inline fuse or breaker.
- If you have a 48V-54V power supply you should use the WS-26-DC unit.
