Going From 1.0.0rc30 to v1.0.7rc2
Any known issues going from 1.0.0.rc30 to 1.0.7rc2 directly? Do I need to be concerned about the bug where the switch doesn't return after the upgrade without a physical power cycle?

I do not know, I never waited that LONG to upgrade. This is a NEW product so we knew there were going to be rapid fire firmware releases for the first month or so. By the end of December we hope to have it settled down to not very often and then for NEW features.
At this point you might as well wait for the next release which will be out today or tomorrow finishing up R/STP, Loop protection, and Ping Watch Dog bug fixes as well as some CLI fixes.
I think you should be OK?

I saw that note about the release tonight.
If it's not broke. Don't upgrade it :)
Did you ever figure out what was causing the switches to zombie on upgrade?

Re: Going From 1.0.0rc30 to v1.0.7rc2
With the newer versions we have it down to around less than a 3 to 4% chance of it occurring. We know what happens but we do not yet know why fully. It is very hard to re-create on demand which makes it hard to solve. I have sat and reboot switches all day and only had it occur several times. Each time it occurs you look at it, scratch your head, make a change then start over. - BORRING WORK!
If it occurs the switch will function normally but you can not access the UI or CLI but console access OK.
Also if it occurs there is a good chance that the UI will become responsive eventually.....time varies
However you are upgrading from a very old version which will force POE ports to go down during reboot whereas in later version this does not occur.
A big part of the reason I gave you 2 switches to play with is to keep the firmware upgraded and help find bugs in each version!
The version you are running is riddled with many bugs!

Yes I will upgrade just past few weeks way overload since I fired a crew. Port 2 errors are odd as the MT it was hooked to never showed any. I will be looking at it in the am as the feedline is only 70' but cable diag shows twice that..... odd
