Power Consumption

Quick question about power consumption.
Does the switch pull the same current regardless of the number of devices it's powering and the configuration of those ports, ie 48v or 24v?

I ask because we are hooking these up to UPS's and I need to figure out how long the UPS will run and if it's a constant current draw, that makes things a lot easier to do.

Are you talking about our DC powered or AC powered switch?

Our AC internal power supply basically has the same efficiency over its full load, so it doesn't really make much difference if you are using 24 or 48 volt POE devices.

IE. basically the AC supply will use power in = power out divided by efficiency of the supply (our AC supply's are rated at > than 90% efficiency).

which for example, if the switch GUI is displaying a total of 100 watts being used by the switch, the total power into the switch via the AC lines can be up to 110 watts, or roughly 1 Amp AC.
