Chris - our setups are very similar...
Tonight Vivek will upgrade some more switches with SFP ports and we'll get a better feel for the problem.
They have upgraded more switches that do not use the SFP ports, and no problems with these.

Firmware 1.5.24 has now been released:

This one should clear up anymore issue's with SMTP and NTP.
The detailed reports from sakita and RTLGW where helpful in identifying further issue's with these features.
OSPF/PPPoE over SFP issue's are still in progress, please continue any reporting on these issue's in the new thread.
We are still relying on community support to identify the issue's we have left (at this point hopefully it's not that many)
Like usual, this thread will be locked, please move any discussions to the new 1.5.24 thread.
