We have an un-responsive 26 port switch, quit suddenly - reason unknown, device runs on pure sine inverter on a large battery bank
Before trying firmware recovery, I wanted to try and get the LOG file out of it via the console port
Can you give me instruction on the command and steps for this
Dave

Re: Dead WS-26-400-AC
Further to the switch being dead, I powered it up with a serial cable and a terminal program on my PC
It shows "Segmentation Fault", many of them until I hit Ctrl C
Then shows @OpenWrt:/# prompt
I measured the DC supply to the switch board, shows 50.3vdc
The PC board is version D
typing in help shows the commands, nothing evident about reading the LOG
How can I read the LOG file from the console port ?

Re: Dead WS-26-400-AC
To the best of my knowledge log files don't survive a reboot.
So I'd just go down the firmware recovery route and see if that fixes it.
